Some days are just so awesome that I’m sad for them to come to an end. Today was one of those days. It didn’t start out as anything spectacular but little things throughout the day have just blessed me so much that I just feel nothing but happiness as I reach the end of the day.
One of my favorite things about my job is that I get to get together with people and visit and chat about life and business and whatever else we want. I got to meet with my sponsor/director today (who has become a very dear friend through this three year journey) and I also got to spend the evening with several of the girls on my team. It just blesses me so much to get together and talk about all the great things going on and all the exciting things coming up! It lights a fire under me!
There were other little things throughout the day that led to all of this happiness too – hashing out business ideas with my husband, texting back and forth with my sweet daughter, meeting with a customer and helping her find some new favorite scents, delivering an order to a customer and having her excited to get her new product…it’s just all so fun! The icing on the cake for the day was getting two postcards from my Director – one said I was number 1 in sales on our team of 334 consultants and the other said I was number 14 out of our whole group of 7,000 people! Wow! That right there is an incredible feeling!
And if you’ll notice, there’s a recurring theme through each of those things – relationships. It’s all about relationships. I’m trying to work harder on the relationships in my life lately. I want to develop more friendships, I want to take the friendships I already have a little deeper, I want to spend more time with the people I care about. That’s what makes life great and I want to take full advantage of it. I’ve been trying to take the time to set up more get togethers with people, to invite people over, and just generally check in to see how people are doing. Because people matter to me.
The Lord has blessed me tremendously with the people He’s put in my life lately and I’m so thankful for that!
